From the country that brought you the best movie about pre-adult vampires comes a play based on Silent Hill 2. As one of the actors writes on his blog, translated from Swedish:In the main cast you'll see Torbjörn Karlsson (Me) as James Sunderland, Rebekka Robertsdottir as Angela Orosco, Peter Joelsson as Eddie Dombrowski, Peter Jacobsson as The Red Pyramid Thing, Joy Jonsson as Laura and Madeleine Olsson as Maria. The play is written and directed by Anna Råberg as her final project in her Senior Year.
Okay, so it's a school project. But the Silent Hill series has always been intensely psychological, at its best when it focuses on mood and character. Whacking zombie nurses with a metal pipe and boss fights against a guy with a bathtub on his head (aka Red Pyramid Thing) are strictly incidental. I even think the movie got this, for the most part. So, yes, let's rent a fog machine and put this puppy on a live stage! It can't possibly be any more incomprehensible than Beckett or Ionesco. Henrik Ibsen (one country over, but who's counting?) would be proud.
