Greed Corp is so hungry it could eat itself

Greed Corp is so hungry it could eat itself

In most strategy games, you earn resources by controlling the map. In Greed Corp, a turn-based game for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC in which you play one of four unique factions, you earn resources by eating the very map you're fighting to control.

Featuring an innovative land-collapsing mechanic which constantly alters the strategic landscape, players must destroy enemies, demolishing or capturing enemy structures, while defending their own territories using any means necessary. Build Harvesters to reap the land for credits to spend on armories and cannons, or manufacture walkers to conquer enemy territory and order carriers to transport battalions of troops across the map, the choice is yours. But watch out: abuse the already maligned land too greatly, and it will fall out from under you!
In addition to the unique map-eating concept, I really like the cyberpunk steampunk* lite visuals. Anything that reminds me of Rise of Legends is okay by me.

Oh, and it's got multiplayer. A couple of bullet points from the web site:

--Friendly and ranked 2, 3, and 4-player battles spread across 36 unlockable maps, supporting optional voice chat
--Further customize matches with any combination of local, online, and computer players (three difficulty levels)
Greed Corp is being developed and published by a small Dutch developer called W! Games. It'll be available in early 2010. You can see more of it after the jump.
