There's been a dearth of zero-G shooters since Descent. This week, Shattered Horizon will do its part to address that. Pictured, by the way. I have no idea if it's any good, but it looks like the next best chance for a shooter to make me nauseous since Prey.
This week also sees another Electronic Arts vs. Activision head-to-head battle over fake music games. It's EA's Lego Rock Band vs. Activision's Band Hero. The Wii gets Need for Speed: Nitro and Rabbids: Go Home. It's a toss-up as to which has a more realistic driving model. The PSP and Playstation 2 get Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier, a platformer with a nifty little flight action game nestled inside it.
Oh, and there's a little thing called Dragon Age that has eaten fifty hours of my last week. That's like a full-time job. If you're into full-time-job-length RPGs, your wallet is in dire peril.

Well for those of us who have fulltime jobs, maybe like four months of a part-time job late at night! :P (and it did eat my wallet!)

I don't think Lego Rock Band is EA's product. I think it is WBIE's.

Dear lord, has anyone else seen Shattered Horizon before now? I can't believe I haven't heard of this game. Just watching the game play footage on the site and the Raid video on youtube....It looks amazing. The first thing I thought of when I saw it was Ender's Game. Fighting people standing on walls and ceilings, rotating to get a better angle around a corner...Man, i wish I had a computer that could run it!

Argh! I'm still recovering from lost time to Borderlands and Torchlight... now Dragon Age?? Something's gotta give... need to work to be able to buy more games, so I guess it's sleep that gets the axe. :P
