PC Games Hardware has posted screenshots directly comparing Gothic 3 with the recently released Risen, both created by the same developer, but one three years earlier. If you guessed the above screenshot is from the more recent game, you're wrong. Three years aren't what they used to be.

For a much more clear-cut comparison, this German site has posted screenshots of the PC version of Risen directly adjacent to the same scenes on the Xbox 360. There are a few "ouches" in there, but for the most part, I'd say the Xbox 360 is doing about as well as expected. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices when you do your gaming in the living room.
