One of the advantages of being bilingual is that when a website from another country breaks a story, you can break it to us folks who only speak English. Hence this blog's reveal of the two unannounced campaigns in Left 4 Dead 2, passed along from a Taiwanese web site. The latest campaign to be unmasked is Dead Center, which takes place in none other than a shopping mall and bearing the tagline "Prices Aren't The Only Things Getting Slashed." It was only a matter of time before the game paid tribute to the mall in Dawn of the Dead.
The fifth and final campaign, entitled "Hard Rain", with carries the subtitle "Come Hell and High Water" appears to take place in a flooded industrial complex of some sort, a rainy setting that will undoubtedly evoke scenes of the Hurricane Katrina disaster for many.

Oh yeah! I'm going to be getting this as soon as it's released. The shopping mall level will be brilliant - just like Romero's movies!!!

Sounds like an awesome game. Shame I won't be playing it as I refuse to play the censored crap Australian version.

Bojeeva,
Thanks for the links to those gaming clips. "Haul ass and get gas!" :) Can't wait to play as the new infected.

The image looks really poorly photoshopped in a couple places. The zombie to the left of the black guy is a carbon copy of the one to the right of the black girl.
The other thing I had to ask myself was, "why is she holding a machete and a chainsaw?" Maybe because... that's not her hand! Look at the one that the white guy is holding. The position is the same for both the saw and the hand; even the blood and gore on the saw are a match. I think they just did a cut/paste and adjusted the skin color for the girl, with minor touchups to the saw's motor.
I hope this is a concept poster -- L4D1 had much higher quality posters than this. (Well, aside from the No Mercy one where Zoey has three hands. http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2009/01/left-4-dead-three-thumbs-up.html )

Haha never noticed that MattA. Yeah I feel like these posters are a lot less clever this time around. I thought L4D was OK but I will be passing on this one.

MattA:
Those aren't zombies, they are mannequins. They are all over malls, maybe you've seen one before?

@ Narcosleepy: Thanks for your snarky comment. Mannequins make more sense... although I still maintain the ones on the left and right are copy-pasted.
Given the background images (stairs, tree) the survivors look like they're either in the food-court, in the main walkway, or possibly outside. Mannequins are usually in shop windows, not in the middle of a main open area. Maybe the survivors got lonely and they've set them up ala "I Am Legend," just to have someone to talk to. :-p
