Gearbox fesses up to broken parts of Borderlands
If you're playing Borderlands on a console system like me, you're probably having a grand old time. And if you're using Lilith's Phase Strike ability, you'll be glad to know it actually works as of today's patches.
But if you're playing on the PC, you might be having a rougher time of it, particularly if you're doing the port forwarding dance to get multiplayer working over Gamespy. To their credit, developer Gearbox has posted a list of problems under investigation. They also include helpful workarounds like the following advice for dealing with a cutscene that bugs the mission scripting if you quit out while the cutscene is playing:Do not shut down the console or quit the game during the cutscene

I found another bug with Borderlands on the 360: It makes me stay up until 4:30 am. Tom, can you get Gearbox to work on that one?

The sweetest Claptrap is the haXXed bandit one, don't want to post his dialouge in case anyone hasn't got there yet but it is brilliant.
I really love the way they use keypads as well, it's the tiny details like that that really bring the game up to the 'excellent' level rather than just 'good'

And of all things, Gamespy! Why gamespy? I haven't heard that name since Fargo left, and the last time I saw the logo was in Crysis Wars' server browser. So...weird.

It's either this game or Dragon Age, I can't decide. I don't have many xbox live friends, and none of them play Borderlands so..

I got the game yesterday on 360 and played Litlith pre-patch and didn't really know there was a problem with phasewalking. Post-patch I am still unsure the difference. What was fixed? Since I am only a lowly level 13, did it have something to do with later talent tree builds involving phasewalk not working?

I plan on picking up Borderlands later today. Most of my RL friends don't do the X-Box thing, so I will totally be looking for fellow gamers to tackle the game with. GamerTag is ComplexedOne if you are interested.
NOTE I tend to like to watch all the silly cutscenes in a game.
