World of Warcraft offers painless $30 morality change operation
Let's say you've been evil for all 80 levels of your life and you decide you want to be good. Or vice versa. Now it can happen. Assuming by "your life" you mean World of Warcraft, it is now possible to switch factions for a one-time fee of $30.The new World of Warcraft Faction Change service is now live...We've been in the process of developing a new service for World of Warcraft that will allow players to change their faction from Alliance to Horde or Horde to Alliance for a fee. After purchasing a Faction Change for a character, a player can choose any race of the opposite faction that is compatible with the character's class.
Here are additional details.
I fully expect some World of Warcraft players will try to explain to me that the Horde isn't "evil" and the Alliance isn't "good". I'll tell them what I've always said when someone tries to explain that: "If it's got orcs, it's evil. Rent Lord of the Rings if you don't believe me." I then put my fingers in my ears and go "La la la la la la la" really loudly.
However, if you think this is outrageous, you ain't seen nothing yet.Based on further community feedback, we have also decided to offer a race change service in the future. Players who choose to switch races will be able to change their race within their same faction and class. Additional details will be released at a future date.
Blizzard is tampering in gods' domain. I just hope they don't go so far as to allow players to change sex. That could lead to some, um, seriously awkward situations.

Actually, Bliz has offered a sex change feature for quite a while now using the "Character Re-Customization" feature. Once they release the race change feature, you'll be able to pay them to change race, faction, sex, name, and server.

Well, Blizz has been working on removing racial changes for sometime. With no real differences other that looks, should be no problem to change races. The factions thing is a total joke, I just don't understand why are they going this far. I quit cause classes are slowly becoming blurred between each other. I played a healing priest, but something happen, and Priest are not wanted anymore, it's Paladins, Shamans, Druids.

Priests are still good healers. The majority of healers in my raid are priests.

one more thing
this kinda says alot about humanity. even in our simulated realities, we're not happy with our decisions in life. nor learn to deal with them. and in such a case, people are willing shell out a few clams to make things better or fix things. to make unfair, unpredictable life fit human needs/wants. sometimes it's not the church that sells indulgences, it's the people who buy them.

You sir, are a clodpole. They already offer recustomization that lets you change a character's sex- old news. Also, your inflammatory rhetoric can't fight it's way out of a paper bag. The Lich King is the evil, both factions fight him. Next time an Epic Clue drops, roll Need on it please.

I know a lot of people have not actually played the previous Warcraft games or understand the Lore for World of Warcraft but, I won't hold that against them. Fact of the matter is: if it has dark elves (night elves are fricken drow I can see it in their eyes!), humans (humans are the most evil creature ever created), gnomes (too short to be trusted), and aliens (can we say anal probes?) that is obviously the evil side.
The only good alliance members are dwarves and Jaina Proudmore.
In any case, yay to Blizzard for coming up with more ways to make people spend their money! Savvy businessmen they are indeed!
