If you're making a game somehow affiliated with someone whose politics are controversial, don't sweat it. Microsoft proudly announced the number of people who didn't care enough about Orson Scott Card's anti-gay rights activism to not buy Shadow Complex.Officially recorded as the most downloaded single-player title in Xbox LIVE Arcade history to date, more than 200,000 people purchased "Shadow Complex" in the first week of its release.
This bodes well for Ubisoft hiring anti-vaccination activist Jenny McCarthy for the Your Shape fitness game. I wonder if anyone has approached Orly Taitz. Maybe for a Castlevania game.
By the way, if you look closely, you'll notice the "single-player" qualifier, which is shorthand for "okay, we didn't do as well as Battlefield 1943, but we kicked the bejeezus out of Braid".

(nelson impersonation) Ha Ha ....... oh sweet irony.

And why should I give a flying fuck about Mr. Card and what he believes in relation to the game?

seriously - I'm nor particularly straight myself, and I didn't even hesitate for a second to buy this game. Castlevania? Metroid? TRIPLE-JUMP? How could I help myself? There's a place for politics in games - but it doesn't matter who makes it, in the end. A good game is a good game, and a good game developer deserves my money.

I thought you liked this game?

Why the attempt to marginalize it into "anti-gay rights game", despite there being no such commentary of any kind in the game?
Where's our news story that "bold/risky attempt to sell 1990's 2D Metroid/Castlevania gameplay on modern console hardware with high production values, big success!"

Yeah really enough. It doesn't matter to me who made as the game as long as it's good, and this one is really good.
There is no political commentary in the game thus there IS NO CONTROVERSY!
Keep your narrow minded politics out of my games Tom Chick; when I want politics I'll find it out my own. Don't expect people to come to a VIDEOGAME blog looking for increased social awareness.
Screw you for calling me "sleepy" because I want to escape all the garbage and nonsense perpetrated on us by fools on television and the internet, fools like you.
