Tron Legacy producer accidentally announces Tron videogame
Given that there was a G-Force videogame about heavily armed hamsters, I didn't think Disney would drop the ball for a Tron Legacy videogame when the movie is released next year. But with no official word, I can't deny I was a little worried. Noodling around with Tron 2.0 was only mildy reassuring.
So you can imagine my relief now that Steven Lisberger, the Tron Legacy producer and the director of the original Tron, has announced let slip in a video interview that a tie-in video game is being internally developed at Disney.
Here's what he said when asked.There is a videogame...yeah...that...there...that...I don't know whether I'm supposed to say that, but there is. There is definitely. How can there not be? There's no way. It's not possible.

Not to nitpick or anything, but Tron Legacy is scheduled to be released on Dec. 17, 2010, no where near "next summer".

Thanks for the correction, cog. Somewhere along the way, I assumed Tron had to be a summer movie. I see now they're saving it for prime Academy Award season, which bodes well. Best Actor nod for Jeff Bridges! I'm calling it now!

That's awesome if this is in fact true... I've been waiting for a Tron game for some time... I know that there are several (some even based on the movie) for the PC, but I'd love to have one that I could play on my XBOX 360... :)

A good TRON game on the XBOX 360 would be very nice...
Wasn't TRON 2.0 for a title already taken by the awesome PC game that came out several years back? I just wonder if it will tie into that at all or if (just like Star Trek) it just never happened. I'm cool either way, but always wondered where they were going with that storyline.
