Most of the flags you capture in Demigod give your team an immediate and tangible advantage. You might get a bonus to experience points. Maybe your demigod's health and mana will be instantly boosted. The best flags spit out little armies that attack your enemies.

But then there are the flags on some maps that give you access to an artifact shop. Unlike the item shop back at your home base, the things at the artifact shop are super powerful and super expensive. In my experience, the artifact shop isn't a very good value until you've got a lot of extra money to buy high-end luxury items like a Mage Slayer or Girdle of the Giants.

However, as of the latest patch, Gas Powered Games wants to encourage you to shop here for consumable goods as well. So they've slashed prices at the artifact shop! Check out these deals!

Look at that! They're practically giving away mana potions!

They're obviously off-setting the reduced income by raising the price of a Wand of Speed. That must be a hot item. Those potions seem to be loss-leaders, like DVDs at Best Buy. Hopefully, that'll get demigods into the artifact shop.

The patch also adds a new replay option, so you can see exactly what the other guys were doing. Now all shall be revealed: which powers they selected, which items they equipped, and which citadel upgrades they purchased.
