Pinball FX staves off authentic 50s-era alien invasion

Pinball FX staves off authentic 50s-era alien invasion

I can't really figure out if it's an awesome time or a terrible time to release a new table for Pinball FX, the downloadable pinball game on the Xbox 360, made by the creators of the far better Zen Pinball on the Playstation 3. Because this week, the excellent Williams Pinball Hall of Fame was also released for the Xbox 360.

However the timing shakes out, the Earth Defense table looks really nice. The 50s alien invasion motif includes flying saucers, panicking civilians, an overwhelmed military (including a green plastic army man), giant insects, and a huge robot whose LED face changes expressions. The center of the table reads as follows:

We cannot stop it!
We cannot even scratch it!
Someone call the EARTH DEFENSE!
The table is available for three bucks, on top of the five bucks it costs for the actual game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll move on to Zen Pinball on the PS3 once its conquered Pinball FX on the 360.
