The multiplayer beta for Section 8, a slick new TRIBES-a-like sci-fi shooter, has been thrown open to anyone who cares to sign up via Fileplanet. This page will get you on your way to downloading the 2GB client.

There's not much in the way of instruction, and you can't set up a single-player game against bots to test things out. So you're just going to have to figure it out yourself by jumping into a multiplayer game. Fortunately, there's plenty of room to walk around and try stuff without being jumped by the other team. If you happen see "tomchick" wandering around, please don't shoot him.
