Sega lets you vote on something that actually matters
Getting fans to vote for something inconsequential is one of the oldest tricks in the PR book. Hey, do you like the brown box art, the beige box art, the dun box art, or the chestnut box art? Vote now!
But Sega is putting forth an actual meaty issue on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Genesis. Go here to vote on one of the following classic titles: Earthworm Jim, Golden Axe II, Revenge of Shinobi, Shining Force, Streets of Rage, Toejam & Earl, or Wonderboy. The winner will be Sega's next release on Xbox Live Arcade.
Unfortunately, it looks like some Earthworm Jim fan club is stuffing the ballot boxes. Come on, you guys got all sorts of games, comics, and even a TV show. Give someone else a chance!

Interesting that people seem to be all about the 2d sidescrolling platformers here. Not that they weren't good ones, but to me the standout has to be Shining Force. That game has stood up incredibly well to time, and it was one of the titles that made me into a gamer. Even if it is readily available on emulators all over the internet, it'd be great to see it get some attention again.

Shining Force by far. Streets of Rage second (although Streets of Rage 2 is already on it) . I bet 600 microsoft points that most the people voting for Eathworm Jim never have or never will have made it to the end....

Well I guess Gameloft is bringing EWJ to the XBLA and everything else just about, so I guess Toejam and Earl will win by default.

It's one of my all-time favourites and I'm gutted it's not seen many, many sequels over the years. I can hear the tunes even now...
