The Tales of Monkey Island blog notes a report by an Argentinian news anchor concerned about the perils of underage drinking in his country.

During his 'investigation' on Facebook, he came across an especially shocking recipe for an alcoholic drink that young people in Argentina drink these days...called 'Grog XD'

What's so shocking about this drink is that it's made from kerosene, sulfuric acid, battery acid, axle grease, and rum. Oh, and artificial sweetener, because all that stuff is probably pretty bitter.

But what makes it even more shocking is that the list of ingredients is taken directly from the game Secret of Monkey Island, where you have to make the drink to free the pirate Otis from jail. What a terrible influence on Argentinian youths. I hope Grog XD doesn't catch on here in the US, since it's probably not safe to drink all that stuff.
