Call of Juarez gets four new maps today for the so-so price of ten bucks. Based on screenshots, it looks like two of the maps -- Elmira Prison Camp and Fort Smith -- are pretty much like every other map already in Call of Juarez. If you've seen one Western berg, you've seen 'em all. But the other two maps -- Little Bighorn and Vulture Mine (pictured) -- actually seem to do something different.
I've been playing Call of Juarez on the PC. The single-player campaign didn't hold my interest for very long, but this is a solid multiplayer game, particularly for LANs. You only need one copy to play on multiple computers. The gunplay is a lot slower and more interesting than it is in the usual shooters, but it's still got plenty of heft. I'm partial to the hombres wielding dual shotguns, although I'll take an officer in a pinch. The game types that lend themselves perfectly to smaller numbers of players. So I'd be happy to get the four new maps.
Unfortunately, they're only available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
