It's not a gaming system unless there's some way to play Civilization on it. Sid Meier's classic turn-based strategy game has conquered gaming platforms the same way Genghis Khan's Mongols conquer their unsuspecting neighbors. And now it's the iPhone's turn. Finger your way to global domination with this diminutive version of Civilization Revolution.
Now I'm not really in the know when it comes to iPhone gaming, but what really caught my eye was the pricing.Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution for the iPhone and iPod touch is now available in North America via Apple's App Store for $4.99 for the first 48 hours and $9.99 thereafter.
Pay the first third down for a two-day demo? That's odd.
Considering how well the gameplay has survived its various transitions from the PC to next-gen console systems to the Nintendo DS, I'd be surprised if this is anything less than an excellent strategy game. Inasmuch as one can exist on the iPhone.
