A tip of the hat to Jason in Washington D.C. for figuring out how to avoid shelling out for a cheap plastic gun-shaped doo-dad to get the most out of House of the Dead: Overkill, a lightgun game that works just fine with a Wiimote but is ten times finer with something gun-shaped in your hand.
In a few days, I anticipate a funny YouTube video of a uniquely damaged TV.
(By the way, that's not a real gun. It's an air gun whose orange nose has been spray-painted black.)

I'm pretty sure the red tip is there on airsoft guns because it's required by law in the US. In Japan, there's no such law, so you don't see the red there (remember the random airsoft smg scene from Lost in Translation?). Probably wouldn't be smart to walk it by the police station on the way to your friends house.
