You may be acquainted with the Angry Videogame Nerd. He's a minor internet celebrity, known for the videos in which he savages bad retro games (and face it, most retro games are bad) . His latest episode is a 20 minute magnum opus looking back at the 3DO in general, and a wretched FMV game called Plumbers Don't Wear Ties in particular. Check it out here.
But above is a look at the Kinder, Gentler Videogame Nerd discussing the specifics of his collection. Collectors of pretty much anything will sympathize with the challenges he faces. I'm pretty close to owning every NES game ever made. But when it comes to defining "every NES game", it's not so easy. You gotta take into account all the different species of NES.
It's comforting to see videogaming back then was just as inane, unpredictable, and chintzy as it can be today. The more things change...
(Oh, and in case you're at work of have kids in the room, keep in mind the Angry Videogaming Nerd is not above cussing.)
