I'm not so sure I like the idea of the ghost being that interactive. They should haunt, maybe be seen by certain types of Sims, but they shouldn't be a living, see-through Sim.

I started up a game and apparently the lot I chose was built on an indian burial ground. So now my house is also cohabitated by 3 ghosts. With my guy Asa having the 'insane' quality, it leads to some pretty hilarious situations.

I had that same house but only a few hours after my Sim moved in the repo woman showed up and repo'd all my ghosts.... how odd.

I agree that having some control over the ghosts is neat but it would be more fun if there was less control.

For those of you asking what lot, sometimes when you buy a (cheap?) lot, it will come up with a pop-up telling you something that is wrong with the house and asking if you wish to accept the challenge or play the lot as normal. I've seen three different 'somethings' that can be wrong with it: a water main break (puddles everywhere), squatters leaving trash (lot is full of trash piles, rats, and, strangely, Excellent quality seeds), and being built on an Indian burial ground (three tombstones with attached ghosts, plus weeds).

Another thing is that the house can ve infested with bugs.

Is it houses or empty lots that have these "problems"? I sort of want to move my sims into one... xD

You can actually woohoo, and even 'try for baby' with ghost sims. I haven't had a chance to see if you can actually get pregnant via ghost sim, but my sim went at it with her ghost husband once. Crazy!

If you buy ANY lot and choose not to furnish it you can end up with something good or a ghost

actual any house weather furnished or not has a chance of something happeing to it. my funshed house had a meteor strike.

Yeah...I'm not sure I like the idea of ghosts having that much freedom either. It'd be better if they would make classic hauntings just like "Toshiro's Girl" said in the comment above. Maybe even different types of ghosts, like poltergeists and phantoms. Normal ghosts just simply haunt...however, considering the paranormal is never explained completely, I can see where it could be like this. Just my thoughts on the matter. :) I'm sure the game will be great either way.

How do you get dead sims to become Ghosts?

Ghost sims can Try For Baby and even get pregnant. And there is a chance that it could be a ghost baby! I think it would be pretty awesome to have a ghost family this way.

can aliens be in the sims3 like in the sims2?

Lol, revive of archives heh... I had a ghost as well, but, mine had horrible traits hehe (evil, insane, etc etc) and its just funny as hell watching him go around [and making him go around] scaring and attacking people >=)

I believe the game will be much more interesting because of a ghost freedom. It's usual when a ghost only haunts. You know about it and there is nothing interesting. But when you don't know what awaits you, what can the ghosts do it becomes much funnier. Well, I like similar games. I usually find them at the torrents files search engine http://www.picktorrent.com . But unfortunately didn't manage to find Sims 3 there. So, it turns out I 'll have to buy it.
