The main cause for any threat to your wallet this week is Trine, a platformer based on three characters with unique abilities working their way through a gorgeous world of physics-based puzzled.
By the way, I still can't get used to saying "physics" without feeling the need to apologize for it. It's a sexy word these days, right? Good physics gets me all tingly, so I trust you're with me on that count. We've come a long ways since stacking crates in Trespasser.
Beyond Trine, your wallet will most likely remain unmolested. A Harry Potter game, an Ice Age game, and a downloadable Punisher game on the Playstation Store are all negligible threats to your wallet. Call of Juarez: Brothers in Blood is interesting for its historical setting. However, I've played it a bit and decided that if I feel like some corridor shooter action, I'd just as soon keep playing The Conduit, which at least feels different by making great use of the Wii's controls. A Western flavored Call of Duty clone is still just a Call of Duty clone. Old timey bullet time is still just bullet time.
From here on out, it's going to be a pretty long dry spell for the rest of the summer. You should have plenty of videogaming lucre to spend on fireworks and ice cream.
