Adam Mathew at the Australian site Gameplayer.com wisely avoided using any superlatives in the title of his collection of 23 deaths in gaming, most of which are accompanied by videos. Instead, he merely called it "23 Memorable Deaths in Gaming". Fair enough.
It's a fun collection, but like any such list, it invites correction even it doesn't claim to consist of "bests". For instance, I can only surmise that they didn't get BioShock and Portal down there in Australia. How else do you explain that they're missing from the list? Also, the memorable death in Call of Duty 4 was by dog? Really? A dog? I would have thought a nuclear explosion would make more of an impression on a guy, but maybe that's just an American thing. They might not have dogs in Australia.
But good work anyway, Mr. Mathew!
