If you're hanging fire waiting for publisher Stardock to iron out the troublesome connection problems some folks have had with Demigod, now's the time to update and give it another shot. At the top of the readme for yesterday's patch:

And while there are still a few technical issues being ironed out, it looks like the developers at Gas Powered Games are addressing gameplay issues. In a patch that's may arrive today, the first balance change will involve nerfing Lord Erebus, the vampire who's bite drains enemy health and reduces their armor, making the victim more susceptible to further attacks. With this patch, Erebus' powerful bite ability will, quite literally, not suck so much. It will do less damage to the target, it will have less of an effect on the target's armor, and it will cost Erebus more mana.
