Ultor Exposed DLC for Saints Row 2 is a real snoozer

Ultor Exposed DLC for Saints Row 2 is a real snoozer

I should warn you that I'm about to talk spoilers for the Ultor Exposed downloadable content for Saints Row 2. Ready? So in the first mission, you drive to four different places and fight some guys, then you drive away while they chase you. In the second mission, you ride in the back of a truck and shoot at cars and helicopters chasing you. In the third mission, you shoot a bunch of guys that rush up at you and then you have to shoot down a bunch of helicopters. Then you're done. And that's it. That's all there is.

You'll then have the option to call Tera Patrick on your cell phone to be your homie. As near as I can tell, she's no different than just whistling for some homie hanging out on the nearest controlled street corner. She shows up in a purple sports car, which is what most of your cell phone homies do as well. Here Tera Patrick is little more than a clunky character model, a one-note joke (she's a microbiologist, har har!), and flat voice talent. I'm not sure what Miss Patrick does for her day job -- I believe she's a model or something -- but I'd advise that she doesn't quit her day job to go into voiceover work.

There are some new vehicles in Ultor Exposed. You get a funky little reverse trike (pictured) that doesn't look terribly safe, but I suppose that makes it exciting. There's also an armed SUV from Volition's upcoming Red Faction game. There are also a couple of maps for multiplayer matches, but who plays Saints Row 2 multiplayer matches?

This is exactly how you don't follow up on an excellent game like Saints Row 2. It is the horse armor of downloadable content for open-world action games. I'd just as soon replay some mayhem missions, which would be ten dollars cheaper.
