Real life imitates videogames in high seas piracy incident?
You might have heard about the pirates who seized the cargo ship Maersk Alabama, only to get kicked off by the bad-ass crew.A crew commanded by two graduates of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy regained control of a cargo ship seized by a small band of armed Somali pirates yesterday, thwarting the first attack on a US-flagged vessel in recent memory.
So here's the question: Which did you think of first, the opening of Metal Gear Solid 2, or the opening of Call of Duty 4?

Actually, I first thought of the Chinese crew that delivered a more humiliating smackdown to a larger pirate boarding party, fighting the pirates with homemade petrol bombs and fire hoses a few months back. And their captain wasn't taken hostage.

Really the first thing I thought of was the cargo ship level from RE5, the nationality of the bad guys is a lot more similar.

Good call on the RE5 ship, Neuro! However, I didn't think of that one because that cargo ship had a 300-foot tall tentacle monster with giant eyeballs that shot laser beams. Uh, spoiler, I guess.

! I was planning on picking up RE5 later this month and now I feel you have completely ruined it for me, I don't know how I can go on already knowing that a giant squid thing takes down a cargo ship.
