Click enough links on the internet and you'll find something interesting. Which is how I came across spelk's mod for Everchron Legends, a free-form space combat and trading game.Well after being inspired by another players' (Warsign) customisation efforts, I thought I'd love to have a go at integrating the Battlestar Galactica DRADIS console into [Evochron Legends]. I found a screengrab of the Galactica DRADIS system from a scene in the new series, and thought it would be kind of exciting to mould it into EL's cockpit...
You can get the files here, where spelk has also posted the screengrab of a DRADIS display he used. His mod doesn't seem to change the functionality at all, but it does change the trim around the edge of the display, making it more Battlestar Galactica.
I haven't played Everchron Legends, but spelk has plenty to say about it here.

Thanks for the shout out Tom, my attempt is really a very amateur go at it. I should say that there are more talented people over at the StarWraith Evochron Legends forums who have actually implemented a BSG Raptor Cockpit and have tweaked the DRADIS HUD, and 'Warsign' is in the process of attaching a BSG Raptor model to all this to complete the package, and have a fully flyable, newtonian physics enabled BSG Raptor. I'd urge people interested in the modding capabilities of the game to visit here:

Its a long thread, with many cockpit/HUD and models, but you can see the efforts in all their detail.
Evochron Legends is a much overlooked game, that really takes space sim combat back to the more freeform roots of the Elite series, and luckily the lone developer (Vice) has made the game infinitely moddable for his very enthusiastic community.

This looks really interesting (the mod and the game itself). As a person grappling with X3 right now (and Darkstar One), this looks like it might be an interesting affordable game (plus the flight mechanics sound sweet). Thanks.

Psst, it's Evochron. And it's a very impressive piece of work :)
