UK's Daily Telegraph reports fatal Wii Fit incident

Wii_Fit_fatality.jpgThe Telegraph reports the first Wii Fit fatality I've heard of. It's all the more notable for happening to someone young and supposedly healthy.

Tim Eves was 'jogging' on the spot using the games console at home when he slumped to the floor.

His girlfriend Emma Tuck and friend Lewis Hickin, both 25, called an ambulance and tried to revive Mr Eves, but he was declared dead on arrival to hospital, despite the efforts of paramedics.

Of course, it's no more Wii Fit-induced than Natasha Richardson's death was skiing induced. Sometimes people happen to die while doing other things. If you sell enough copies of a game, the odds of someone dying while playing your game increase significantly.

However, just to be safe, I hope Nintendo pulls Wii Fit from the shelves before it kills again. I'm pretty sick of seeing that thing knocking actual games off the sales lists. Nintendo should pull Wii Play as well. Just to be safe.
