Today's Snowblind Map Pack adds four maps to Gears of War 2 (here is Gamespot's write-up of the maps). The map pack also adds some achievements. Well, technically, last week's update added the achievements, but you can't earn them without buying the maps. The total available gamerscore points in Gears of War 2 is now up to 1425, instead of a standard game's 1000.

Here's a list of the achievements. Scroll to the bottom to see the new ones for the Snowblind Map Pack. Credit Epic with some clever titles. "Never Eat Red Snow", "Frigid Body Dynamics", and "The Weather Outside is Lethal" are all cute turns of phrase. But my favorite would have to be "Icy Dead People", won for completing all 50 waves of horde mode on one of the new maps. Cute. A bit forced, but still cute.
