Castle Crashers creators tease their next game

Witness now the effective juxtaposition of the fury of Verdi's Requiem with really cute things jumping around and smacking stuff. What else would you expect in the next game from the creators of Castle Crashers? Except poo jokes, of course. Those will probably be forthcoming later.

In terms of information about the game, pretty much what you see in the trailer is what you get. Here are the additional details as posted on developer Behemoth's blog:

Release Date: See Trailer
Console : No specifics yet
Price: No idea
Game Details: Coming Soon

That should cover the basics. the game is in a very super early development stage right now. We're fortunate enough to have some awesome programmers that can get us playable versions of our games very very very early on.

I love the part where the dude is holding the gem and the screen is going crazy.

The game looks like a cross between N and Super Smash Bros. (not a bad thing) Judging by the simple block structure to the levels I would think that you might be able to make your own in the final version.

I agree that is looks like a game with user-created content, like a 2D version of Little Big Planet. In the preview, I saw a fighting game (a la Super Smash Bros.), a competitive level-based multiplayer game, a cooperate multiplayer game, an area-control game (where the characters mark whatever surface they touch), and a team-based sports game. I am intrigued!
