Also, I'm happy to note that I was wrong when it came to the Audience Award Winner, which was selected by an online poll. I had assumed the best known and most commercial game, PixelJunk Eden, would win. Instead, the Audience Award went to a violent cyborg/drone action game called Cortex Command.

Hey, thanks for linking to Cortex Command - what a cool game! I was just looking for something new to play, after Dawn Of War II started getting boring, and at $18 (plus a sweet gameplay video) how could I refuse?

I just wish I could play it. I don't know what I think about this winning to be honest - I think the prize money would be more deserved by Cortex. I'm always pretty underwhelmed by the majority of the winners... the judging process looks like it might not be as good as it could be.
I'd like to see more of a strong manifesto from the IGF for a start.
