Valve unveils the newest toy for Team Fortress 2's scouts
With their characteristic flair for humor, Valve starts the countdown to the Team Fortress update that will give the Scout new weapons and abilities. Up first is the Sandman. See if you can spot the dig at snipers.You Scouts are gonna love this highly collectible bat that smacks baseballs at the other team, stunning the living crap outta anybody dumb, slow, drunk, mute or Australian enough to get in the way. The farther the ball flies before ricocheting offa some chucklehead's skull, the longer he's gonna be stunned. And guys who think they're tough because they're invulnerable? It works on them too.

i'm mildly excited about this new update, coming back to team fortress 2 after nearly a half year break - i just wonder if valve will indeed soldier on and complete the remaining 5 class updates after this one? and if they do, how long will it take, and will there still be a tf2 community to joyously receive them?
i'd be even more interested to know how profitable the whole enterprise is - these content updates mean another batch of free promotion from lovely sites like this, and those smart folk at valve like to accompany the release with free play weekends...
