This week represents another threat level red for your wallet. Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is a clear and imminent danger to anyone with a Nintendo DS or PC (the threat will extend to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 owners at a time to be determined; we will warn you as more information is forthcoming). If you see this game, do not approach it unless you are well-armed with lots of free time! Tune into this site tomorrow for a review of Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, at which time we will detail the full extent of the threat.
More on a threat level yellow-ish scale are a couple of shooters. There's a distinct possibility, however unlikely, that the new 50 Cent game, Blood in the Sand, might not be terrible. Also, based on the beta, the multiplayer looks promising for Killzone 2, which will be out at the end of this week (it's certainly not much of a threat to your wallet for the single player).
Dead Rising for the Wii promises to put you ankle-deep in the dead. Eidos will publish Shellshock 2, a war/horror game from the folks working on the recently announced Aliens vs. Predator title. For real time strategy fans who aren't chest-deep in the excellent Dawn of War II, be on the lookout for the Entrenchment expansion for Sins of a Solar Empire and the PC port of the brilliant and underrated EndWar.
