Once again lording over us the fact that they're so much more enlightened than us uppity colonials, the British have taken it upon themselves to extend to videogaming the same recognition extended to movies and television. The British Academy for Film and Television Arts, or BAFTA, announced its nominees for videogaming. They've been including videogames in their awards since 1998. It's a good selection, but the really crazy category is for best multiplayer. How are you supposed to decide among Buzz! TV Quiz, Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War 2, Mario Kart Wii, and Rock Band? Tough choice!
The winners will receive a scary mask of a guy with his right eye poked out (pictured). As for the actual ceremony, take a look at these BAFTA hosts pretending to know what a Wii is.

As if you didn't want to punch them in the face enough, consider that they're English!

they guy on the far left looks despiratly confused. and considering that he's holding the nun chuck in his right hand, i think he is. unless that's a left hander thing.

I get the feeling that you are trying to say something about us Brits...

Tom, Tom, Tom... Tsk. Really. That was mean.
No one needs to be reminded that Gareth Gates and Jim "Vic Reeves" Moir both have faces that only a cricket bat could love.
Could you possibly be trolling for English fanboys to have a comment-fit about the "colonials" (while the Scots, Welsh and Irish chortle down their sleeves)?
No. Impossible. You'd never sink so low.

As Great Grandpappy Chick used to always say, "If there's one thing more annoying than someone who's annoying, it's an English guy who's annoying".
But seriously, what's up with those awards? They put me in mind of Oedipus in the act of blinding himself.

The dude on the left looks like someone just demonstrated the meaning of the acronym BOHICA with him as a prop.

I like how Mullet is holding the dangling end of his nunchuck behind his back in an oh-so-subtle attempt to hide that it's not plugged in.
Presumably it wasn't enough to simply give him the other remote sitting there under the screen.
Pretending to know what a Wii is bad enough, the fact that they probably don't even know the sport that the Wii is playing is even more awesome.
I don't see how anyone could have any issue with the looks on their faces, they appear pretty standard for the people in Nintendo ads.

Not to rain on your parade, but the younger of those two isn't English, he's Welsh.
