I can't deny the masochistic delight that is Skate 2's tough challenges. If they weren't so hard, they wouldn't be so gratifying when I finally beat them. For instance, I finally pegged the "Ramp to Footplant to Ramp" challenge that I thought I'd gotten here. Turns out I'd missed the first ramp by jumping too early.
So ten to twenty tries later, I finally pulled it off. I got that rush that comes only from a videogame with a steep learning curve or a multiplayer win against someone who's better than you. There I am up there in my moment of glory, and also wearing more appropriate clothing for a skater. Check out my form and my flannel. Awesome. I expect a ticker tape parade will follow tomorrow.
In the meantime, I'm on to a whole new level of masochism. BLAOW, for instance, and trying to get 7500 points for a pro demo. Could this be where I plateau forever?
