Nintendo sent pre-played copies of Animal Crossing: Wild World to some videogame press folks this week. The idea is to let busy writers see the later content in the game without having to actually, you know, play it. Animal Crossing isn't something you just sit down and do in an afternoon.
However, it seems whoever was "pre-playing" Animal Crossing didn't quite appreciate that their customized town was going to be sent out to the wider world, much less folks who write about games. The little animals in town greet the player with an affectionate but very street name that I can't really write here. Read MTV's blog for the cute sordid detail. The animals also seem fond of quoting the "me love you long time" prostitute in Full Metal Jacket, but that line actually works if you think of it from a cuddly Animal World perspective. Not everything dirty has to be dirty.
