Shocking video of when Wiimotes attack

Wii_break.jpgYou can't swing a powerless Wiimote without hitting some video on the internet of little kids breaking vases and whatnot with errant Wiimotes. Sometimes you might find a picture of a cracked TV. Maybe, if you're lucky, someone gets beaned in the head and it's really funny.

But this video is several hundred dollars worth of spectacular. Partly because I've always wondered what it looks like when you break a fancy TV like that one. Plus, bonus comedy points for the guy being from a foreign country and confidently shimmying his buttocks when he bowls a strike. Although he never turns to the camera, you can tell from his Mii that he's probably got a stylin' mustache. The mixed plaid doesn't hurt either. In fact, I'm about to talk myself into thinking the whole thing is staged...

I love how he taps it. Because that will fix any fist sized hole.

It's fake. If you look at the screen carefully you can see it's not actually damaged. It's staged with an edited recording playing on the TV. He then times his throw to coincide with the doctored image of a damaged screen. The absurdity of his behavior through the whole video helps support this -- like most amateurs he's over-acting.

I could point out other clues that it's fake, but I think you get the idea.

I agree, it's fake.

Pause the video at :41 and you can see he is slinging the remote at the TV by holding the Wii-mote's strap. Fake city!
