From the press release for EA Sports Active:Developed in collaboration with fitness experts, including Bob Greene - renowned exercise physiologist, author and Oprah's personal trainer - EA SPORTS Active is perfect for the whole family, though designed specifically for women seeking a simple, fun and cost-effective way to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Four thoughts:
1) Yourself! Fitness was before its time.
2) This is what happens when Wii Fit stays on the top ten best-selling games list for so long. Do you people who keep buying Wii Fit see what you've done?
3) Is it really a good idea to bring up Oprah? I haven't kept up with her current weight situation, but I assume this means she's looking pretty trim these days.
4) Since this uses the Balance Board from Wii Fit, I find it ironic that only people who already own Wii Fit can take full advantage of it.

Wii Fit is a fun product but its work out routines are not the greatest for everyone. Different work out video games for different types of workouts is not a bad idea and it will help make video games even more main stream. Its a good thing for the industry.

WiiFit is best used as an accountability partner. It does a great job keeping track of your progress and encouraging your efforts, but it won't give you the workout you will likely need to make a difference. But if you couple WiiFit with an actual workout routine like walking or running, it will track the pounds that you've lost and give you a great pat on the back each morning.
If there are other games out there that will provide a better, more entertaining workout, then I'm all for it.

What we need is to have EA's MVP Baseball series for Wii. Am I correct in assuming that I'm not the only person who is seriously disappointed with Wii Baseball?
