Little Big Planet and Metal Gear Solid 4 aren't the only exclusives for Playstation 3 owners can brag about anymore. Now they're getting downloadable content for BioShock in the form of three "challenge rooms" that you can't play on the PC or Xbox 360.
2K Games says these rooms are unique locations, separate from the storyline, built from unique artwork. If you need an incentive to play them, there are trophies involved. The rooms are as follows:A Shocking Turn of Events - A Little Sister is trapped atop a Ferris wheel in an undisclosed location in Rapture. Using only the tools and environment around them, players must use their wits to create electricity to power the Ferris wheel and bring the Little Sister to safety.
I don't know about this one. It has "switch on the generator" written all over it. But rescuing a Little Sister? Who can resist that? The I in Team - Using limited resources, and an even more limited arsenal, players must negotiate traps and find a way to defeat a Big Daddy using their wits instead of raw firepower.
Hmm, this sounds alarmingly like a boss fight/puzzle. I think I'm going to be all tapped out for these kinds of shenanigans after Gears of War 2.Worlds of Hurt - Step up and take on the most grueling challenge offered in the world of Rapture. Players must battle through eight rooms of Big Daddies, Splicers and the worst that Rapture has to offer. Accumulate Adam, build an arsenal of Plasmids, Tonics and Weaponry, and fight through to rescue the Little Sister.
A-ha, now we're talking! A mini-campaign combat gauntlet, hopefully with enough flexibility to be replayable and maybe a high score screen? Where do I sign up?
The rooms will be available from the Playstation Store on November 20 for ten bucks.
