This is a letter from me to Gears of War 2, but I'm also cc'ing it to all shooters in general:

Dear game,

It's okay if you don't have a vehicle sequence. Because given the choice between a terrible vehicle sequence and no vehicle sequence at all, I will always -- always! -- choose the latter. In fact, I've never played a game without a terrible vehicle sequence and wished it had one. I have, however, played plenty of games with terrible vehicle sequences and wished they had none.

You're now one of those games, Gears of War 2. Because if I wanted to play Mass Effect Bouncing Space Buggy With an Silly Cannon on Top , I'd put the Mass Effect disc into my Xbox 360 instead of the Gears of War 2 disc.
