Gears of War 2 and Little Big Planet aren't out yet. But that won't stop people from rating them on Metacritic, one of the review aggregate sites that lets players rate games. Both games have about 3000 ratings, and many of them are part of a war between fans of specific console systems. It seems that Xbox 360 users are throwing tens at Gears of War 2, an Xbox 360 exclusive, and ones at Little Big Planet, a Playstation 3 exclusive. Playstation 3 users are doing the reverse.

Metacritic editor Marc Doyle has shut off user comments with the following note:

My advice for our faithful users is to focus your attention on the Metascore for this game and not the thousands of user votes, most of which have been submitted before said users have played the game. This is a gaming community, and if people want to stuff the ballot box, there's not much I can do at this point. When we upgrade the registration requirements for participation on the site in the near future, this type of thing won't happen. We'll post the full legitimate user reviews upon the game's release.
