First Johh McCain's campaign disses Dungeons & Dragons. And now, in this video, presumptive American President Barack Obama says I can't make history playing the Nintendo Wii. To that I say: Senator, come over to my house and let me show you what I can do with Meta Knight in Super Smash Brothers Brawl. You can be whichever character you want. After that, wait till you see how many stars I have in Super Mario Galaxy.
The short video is an ad from the Obama campaign suggesting that folks take off work on November 4th to help get out the vote. I think taking that day off is a very good idea. And I'm not just saying that because Resistance 2 comes out November 4th. It's also worth noting that EndWar, the cool voice-controlled real time strategy game, also comes out November 4th.

and you know the ironic thing is, watching this commercial reminds me of navigating wii menus from its sounds and music.

Haha! That's pretty awesome information, thanks a lot for the video.

So first were supposed to vote for him, then brow beat others to vote for him and then we can play all the games we want. Jeez, 4 years with this idiot is going to be hell.
By Vixis at 4:35 PM ON 10/29/08
I'll be dammed if I'm going to proslytize for him on voting day. I'll be one of the ones voting for the other candidate and then going home to play some Fallout 3.

vote for McCain and you will not have a job or the money to play video games. Remember your buddy GW Bush just past legislation for a media czar to monitor all your online activities. And they call Obama Socialist. These guys are down right communist. Small govt, think again. Republicans are taking your freedoms 1x1 and you want to keep them in office? Good Luck.
By Tyso at 5:27 PM ON 10/29/08
@Khan...Spare us the talking points okay pal they are the same every election year. Last I looked Obama wanted some of Bush's snooping done too...Of course after he decryed it. At least McCain isn't coming off all preachy about what people do with their free time. Its Obama's job to campaign 'til voting day not mine.
By Negatron at 5:30 PM ON 10/29/08
Whatev! I'll be glad when this election is over as I don't need any more pretentiousness from the campaign circuit.
By kchenault at 8:53 AM ON 10/30/08
@KHAN...Congress is the branch that makes and passes laws. The administration is suppossed to work within the laws. That said, the last time I checked the liberal Democrats had control of both houses of Congress and their approval rating is worse than the President's. Obama can bite me, the Marxist pig. Put lipstick on that.
By Metalmad at 9:17 AM ON 10/30/08
Sure vote for Husein Obama. I just hope you or your kids do not aspire to earn more than $250,000 a year. Because Obama won't have that. Forget the American dream. He is the ant-christ, this guy. Check out the finances and runnings of every Democrat controlled city. They are all in deep financial trouble. Chicago is one of the worst. That is Obama country. Crime rate is through the roof. City's in major debt and all the leaders are fighting and blaming each other... because they don't have any Republicans to blame it on.
By Rengaw at 10:51 AM ON 10/30/08
If you really want your vote to count then don't vote on election day.
You need a leader who is for we the people not just rich or poor middle class black or white they should be telling you they are running to give you a leader who is going to be working for everyone in your country.
If you want your vote to count then send them the message you are not happy with your choices by just not voting.
By budgethero at 11:21 AM ON 10/30/08
lol, they should have said u can't make history from WoW raids.
By gyrefalcon at 12:52 PM ON 10/30/08
@metalmad - over 85% of the people in this country make less than $250,000 a year, that includes the teachers that are in our schools. That includes most of the geeks (like me) that work in the computer industry. If you make more than that a year, good on ya, but for the rest of us poor folks, give us a chance to have a life and have a govt. that won't send women's health back to the dark ages!!!
By athynz at 1:30 PM ON 10/30/08
@metlamad - Chicago's been a freakin hotbed of crime for decades no matter if a Dem or Rep is in office so laying the blame for that at Obama's or even McCain's feet is like blaming either one of them for a volcanic eruption. And if you are making over $250K a year then more power to you... like gyrefalcon said this gives us poor folks a chance to actually accumulate some wealth. He's NOT trying to kill the American Dream, he's making it more accessible for the rest of us. Let's take a look at what McCain want's to do... oh yeah, let's make the tax breaks for the rich permanent and screw the middle and lower classes.
As for Obama dissin the wii... who really cares? Honestly as long as he can deliver on his campaign promises if/ when elected, then I could care less how he feels about gaming... it's not like he's planning on taking it away from us.
By noobama at 9:58 PM ON 10/31/08
Give me a break, do you idiots really believe the spreading the wealth around garbage? How about we take a look at Obama's home state, shouldn't it have worked there by now? What has he done for Chicago? Nothing. Here is an idea, don't have enough money? Get a job. Stop waiting for hand-outs.
By NOOBsU,R at 9:34 AM ON 11/03/08
Give me strength, Taxing the Rich does not create wealth for ANYONE except the Government. It will hurt us the "poor" Americans more than anything as companies downsize to generate the cash to pay the taxes. Obama is promising you the American dream, if that dream is socialist, He is not promising you wealth or accumulating it, unless you consider Government handouts wealth. Thanks but No Thanks, I will take care of myself, I do not need the Government to support me or my family and I am proud of it, you sheepeople make me ill, you truely do, give you a Donkey to follow and you'll charge over Children to get the fake brass ring....enough ranting..
