One of this holiday's final scheduling pegs has fallen into place: Blizzard has made it official that the Wrath of the Lich-King expansion for World of Warcraft will launch on November 13. Expect world-wide decreases in productivity and widespread internet slowage as 15 million people, give or take, roll up death knights and trail frost whelpling vanity pets around Azeroth.
Narrowly escaping the impact are Call of Duty: World at War, Animal Crossing for the Wii, and Gears of War 2, all of which will make it out in the week before Lich King arrives. Smack dab in the middle of the one-week aftershock will be the Mines of Moria expansion for Lord of the Rings Online and Left 4 Dead, both of which have our deepest condolences.
