MSNBC posted a short video clip about Warhammer Online. The clip consists of about 40% CG cutscene, 30% gameplay, and 30% taking head footage of some of the developers at the Tokyo Game Show. Fortunately for the clip, one of the developers is senior creative director Paul Barnett, whose enthusiastic English take on the Warhammer universe is always interesting. While explaining the fantasy denizens of Warhammer Online,he describes them as follows:They're not high elves. They're English posh people. They're not dark elves. They're English posh people on drugs.
Great stuff. Barnett should be a motivational speaker for hobbits. And he knows enough to push up his silly sunglasses when he's talking to someone. Here's a six-minute jag of the same spiel, where he describes the dark elves more precisely as:
English posh people wot have taken drugs. Basically, Lord Byron. If Barnett ever DMs a game of Dungeons and Dragons (4th ed., natch), I want to be there.

I am delightful with the realisation that I am indeed a dark elf.
