
The nearly finished Ghostbusters game that was going to be published by Sierra was canceled in the merger between Sierra and Activision. At this point, it seems the game will probably never see the light of day. Based on what I'd seen during a visit to Sierra to write an article on the game, I'm not sure we're missing much.
But at least some good may have come of it. According to Ain't It Cool News, during Q&A for a City of Ember screening at the Fantastic Fest film festival in Austin, Murray apparently said he was amenable to doing another movie for a few reasons. Among them, he mentioned that...

Dude, your readership would increase to AICN numbers if you added a few exclamation points to your headlines and posted fake early reviews for games. Sure, the comments section would be crammed with firsties and fanboy wanking, but the stargate-loving overlords would be pleased.

I haven't been this disappointed since they canceld Ace Harding 2: Lost in Los Vegas for NES. O_o
