Bejeweled extension adds World of Warcraft front-end

bejeweled.jpgBejeweled is pretty awesome, isn't it? But to make it even more addicting, Popcap has built World of Warcraft around it, so that when you take a break from matching up gems, you can level up your troll or join a raiding guild or grind mobs in Molten Core, or whatever you're inclined to do during your Bejeweled downtime. The new Bejeweled front end goes live today, but you can only get it by subscribing to and installing World of Warcraft. If you think this seems like a lot of trouble to play Bejeweled, you're obviously not acquainted with its addictive charms.

(By the way, when it someone going to add a web browser into an MMO? I am not joking!)

You must not have played EVE; it has a nearly fully featured browser in-game.

SWG also has a full browser in game now. It's not obvious, but it can be accessed through the new trading card game.

EQ2 also allows for in-game browser access.

Another alternative if you're addicted to Bejeweled is to just, you know...play Bejeweled.

It's a telling sign how much downtime there is in the average MMORPG that you have to find games to play while you're playing the game itself. Civ 4: Revolutions doesn't need an in-game Pac-Man game to keep you occupied, does it?

Auto-close on Ready Check. ROFL perfect.

i second edosan. just set WoW as a windowed thing and then open bejeweled or I.Explorer or Paint. this is not difficult.
