Star Trek Online developer Cryptic Studios elaborates a bit on their upcoming Star Trek MMO. They've posted to their site a Q&A with themselves. Unfortunately, they don't get all the answers right.Will I be able to trick out my Bird of Prey with green flame decals to show off when I decloak to "pwn Federation nubs"?
Captain Geko: One of Cryptic Studios' hallmark features in all of its games is giving players ultimate customizability when it comes to their characters. We are fully utilizing our character creation technology in Star Trek Online to include customizing both characters and starships. You will be able to customize your ship's geometry, as well as its color, decals and fleet insignia. I'm sorry, Captain Geko, but the correct answer was 'no'.

Hey Tom any idea if this is indeed coming to consoles? I saw on the FAQs on their page the question: "Will console players be able to compete against pc players?" And the answer seems to suggest that it is coming to at least one of the consoles. Any thoughts?

Hey Mr. Rox. I'd lay money on Star Trek Online coming to the Xbox 360. Right now, the same developer is working on a game called Champions Online, which will almost certainly be out before Star Trek Online. They're intending Champions Online to be a PC and Xbox 360 game, and they're developing it specifically for both platforms. So Xbox 360 support is clearly a focus for the development studio as a whole rather than just an intended feature for a single game.
