I can't help but feel sorry for Konami and Rock Revolution. Konami pioneered peripheral-based music games with their Dance Dance Revolution series and dancepads. But then along come the young upstarts at Harmonix with their plastic guitars and their drum kits and their rock n' roll.
So it's already a little sad seeing Konami's Rock Revolution me-too with its bad graphics and cover bands. Then there's the E3 press conference in which the producer failed out of a cover of The Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop" after having just played the actual song with an actual band. She doesn't even blame the guitar's calibration. Doesn't she know the protocol in such a situation?
Much to the delight of Activision, which is happy to see derision directed someplace other than Guitar Hero "I think it's called Rock Band" World Tour, Gamevideos has posted footage of the incident for all your schadenfreude needs.

Is the drummer in the picture above crying? Has his band deserted him? Don't cry drummer! Don't cry. Come over to Rock Band and we'll buy you a face tattoo and get you a better hat.

What's weird about the video is that she's not just missing the timing on the notes--which, as you say, could be chalked up to calibration--she's hitting the wrong buttons over and over again. Had she even tried the game prior to playing on the stage?

It looks like the drummer's left-most pad fails near the end.
