
In the wake of this year's kinder, gentler, less crowded E3, a couple of game executives are showing off their more poetic sides. Simon Jeffrey, president of Sega of America, has a way with metaphor: "[It was] an event that had all the atmosphere of a large hospital corridor."
But Peter Moore, newly installed as president of Electronic Arts Sports, pulls out all the stops on his blog with an entry worthy of LiveJournal: "A palpable sense of frustration...soulless and lacking an epicenter." The Morrissey mood is promptly spoiled by people in the comments section taking Moore to task for the embarrassing state of the recently released NCAA '09.
Personally, I thought this year's E3 was lovely as a tree. I loved the empty hallways and easy access to games. But then again, I wasn't forking over cash to the ESA to promote something.
