Wii Fit day seven: cat day afternoon

wii_fit_07a.jpg
The pacing in Wii Fit is deadly. After each exercise, I just want to get on to the next one while I've still got momentum. Instead, creepy telepathic ghost chick trainer has to offer me not one, but two platitudes, followed by my score scrolling up the high score screen, then my Fit Credits™ being dropped into the my Wii Fitness Piggy Bank™. The whole time I'm tapping the A button repeatedly so I can just get on with choosing the next exercise and getting past the creepy telepathic ghost chick's offer to demonstrate it for me. This invariably jumps me back into the exercise I was just doing, because the default selection after finishing an exercise is "retry", so I have to move the Wiimote cursor to "quit", which is what I feel like doing by that point anyway, except on a large scale. Why is "retry" the default? Retry? Once wasn't enough? So am I supposed to be doing these things multiple times? Is that how Wii Fit™ is designed? Speak to me, Balance Board™. Guide me. The Balance Board ™ has nothing to say. It wriggles idly.

So that's why I'm skipping my Wii Fit™ workout today. Isn't resting on the seventh day something of a tradition? Plus, my thighs are killing me from all the lunges. Plus, I had to take my cat to the vet. True story. Fat lotta good this thing did me.
