The CEO of Sony's videogaming division announced that we'll be able to download movies onto our Playstation 3's this summer. Yay! Another instance of something we're already doing on our Xbox 360s! Meanwhile, the buzz about the next step for the 360 is that Microsoft will partner with Netflix so we can stream the 10,000 or so movies available from Netflix's on-demand service. If Microsoft has any sense of mercy, they won't announce a Blu-ray player add-on. Because right now, the Playstation 3's best decisive advantage is being on the winning side of the HD format wars.
Well, that, and it's also the only system on which you can play Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (pictured above because, yeah, the PS3 is all sleek and sexy and fingerprint-attracting black, but how many times do you want to see its picture?).

Apparently you can already stream Netflix to 360...if you've got a version of Vista installed with Media Center.
I'm sure those three people are very happy.
