The above screenshot is not a fake. It is actually from a Garfield game for the Playstation 2 called Lasagna World Tour, just released by Conspiracy Entertainment. These are the folks who brought you titles such as Action Girlz Racing, Rock n' Roll Adventures, Monster Trux [sic] Arenas SE, and Cocoto Fishing Master, in which you must catch the five millennial fish before the world is engulfed by lava.
Conspiracy helpfully categorizes Lasagna World Tour as part of the "run and jump" genre. In addition to running and jumping, Garfield apparently eats lasagna in places such as Mexico, Italy, and Egypt. He can also dress up as a cowboy or a fakir. Which raises the question: how big is the cross-section of people who read Garfield, much less would buy a Garfield game, and know what a fakir is? I'm guessing it's about the same size as girls who want to play an action racing game with an edgy letter "Z" in the title.
Okay, having goofed on that announcement, I'm now off to shoot some fish in a barrel.
